The King of the North: Sentinel and Witness of Creation.

My lord, monarch of the north

on your throne of millenary rocks,

of primeval ages,

witness of the dawn.

King of the eternal night,

born in the darkness

how did the first tree blossom

in your solemn majesty?

Where time melted

with your deep crevices

and the fish emerged.

In your arms it gestated.

From the eerie waves

life emerged

and under your gaze

creation was conceived.

They found shelter in your height,

the birds in their flights,

while the storms

danced with bravery.

Ortegal Cape - Cariño -Jay Lorenzo

O lord of the north

what did you feel at that moment,

when the upright humans

became constant travellers?

How was it to behold

their ships on the vast sea,

sailing towards horizons,

exploring without ceasing?

Peacemaker of endless storms,

light in the darkness,

bastion of the north,

divine king and ortegan paladin.

Sun and stars

before your greatness surrender,

and in humble prayer,

before thee they bow.

May your voice, like the wind,

carry the truth with me,

my lord of the north,

on your throne of eternity.

O king of the north

tell me your wise secrets,

witness of history,

in verses like these.

The Ortegal Cape’s Lighthouse - Cariño - Fernando Rodríguez

The Ortegal Cape is located on the highest cliffs in continental Europe and rises steeply from the sea in a place of wild and breathtaking beauty in northern Galicia. It has a lighthouse atop the cliff, from where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean and coastline.

Its rocks were formed in the earth's mantle 1,156 million years ago and are the fourth oldest on the planet, stoically resisting the fury of the Atlantic for millions of years.

The storms in the Ortegal can be really intense and often include extreme and constant winds, torrential rain, lightning and thunder, waves of terrifying heights, and very powerful. During a storm in Ortegal, the force of the wind can make it very difficult to keep one's balance. The waves can be very dangerous for sailors and even visitors who carried away by their curiosity, sometimes commit some imprudences. This type of atmospheric phenomenon in the Ortegal is usually impressive, overwhelming, and terrifying.

This cliff, a natural monument, is a place that meets the history of our world, the seas, the winds, and such a natural and beautiful environment that sometimes leaves you breathless. A majestic place with sunsets full of light and melancholy and a magnificent place to observe the sky on clear nights.

A place where you can look at the sky and dream as it is an eternal and seriously unique place in the world.
